A downloadable game for Windows

Three hundred years ago a technological advancement had lead to a species altering invention: The Power Cell. It stopped the need to eat and sleep; it was perfect…too perfect. There are repercussions to such a technology as you fight off the aftermath of its discovery.

ATTENTION!

  • The game requests firewall access for some reason, it does not need it AT ALL. I'm very new to Unreal Engine. I didnt know how to turn it off at time of submission. You can just deny it. Sorry about that.
  •  If you are having issues with your controller affecting Windows (opening other windows), or having buttons cause multiple inputs, this issue is more than likely caused by the Steam Controller "Desktop Layout" setting being enabled. Disabling this should fix any issue.
  • It has also come to my attention that the game struggles to run on lower powered machines and makes some jumps impossible. If you encounter that my apologies, thanks for trying my game still!

    Special Thanks to:
Max Laurence and my friend Redundakitty for play testing during the rougher moments lol

Update:
Hey guys! Ive been thinking about it. There's a lot of stuff I want to add to this game. In fact I legit have like 80% of a build made, but honestly I kinda just wanna move on at this point. This was my first ever gamejam, my first ever "completed" game, the first game I ever had friends play that I made, the first game I had total strangers play my game (you're all great in the Bigmode Discord Chat btw), and the first game I ever pushed to itch.io. It's a lot of firsts for me and honestly it's been an amazing experience. I have a lot of trouble deciding when a project is like DONE. It's actually something that hurts my progress of things often. I MIGHT comeback and decide that Ill keep going with this, but I think it would be healthier for me to not. I think it'd be nice to move on to the next project instead with the win of actually completing something under my belt. I also did not set the game up to be easier modified after development was complete haha, so yeah that makes things more difficult. I'm extremely grateful the timing of this lined up with time I was able to devote a week to without work or life needing to take a higher priority. I'm also very grateful with all the nice things that has been said about my game, it gives me a lot of confidence moving forward. I will always be my biggest critic and it was nice to see so many people just enjoying something I made.  So thank you everyone who played my game and anyone who stumbles upon my game in the future! I truly appreciate it!

This is really well made. I like how you incorporate the theme of power into the game and make it basically the entire premise. The shooting is also really nice as well. The range sometimes feels a little off, but it's no big deal. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how it's very easy for the platforms you can jump on to blend into the background. I tried to jump on things that weren't platforms. Other than that, this is a really well made game.
